Refund & Cancellation Policy

How cancellations are handled and what you can expect to get back.

Plans change. This page explains what happens if you need to cancel, and how refunds are calculated and paid.

How to cancel

Send your cancellation in writing — email or WhatsApp is fine — quoting your booking reference. The cancellation takes effect on the day we receive it, not the day you decided.

Cancellation charges

Unless your confirmation states otherwise, the following applies to the total tour cost:

  • More than 30 days before departure — the advance is refunded, less any non-recoverable hotel or permit charges already paid on your behalf.
  • 15 to 30 days before departure — 25% of the tour cost is retained.
  • 7 to 14 days before departure — 50% of the tour cost is retained.
  • Less than 7 days before departure — 100% of the tour cost is retained.

Non-refundable costs

Some costs cannot be recovered once booked, whatever the notice period — peak-season and festival hotel blocks, confirmed train and air tickets, permits, and any advance paid to a third party on your instruction. These are deducted before any refund is calculated.

No-shows and unused services

There is no refund for a no-show, for arriving late for a scheduled departure, or for services you choose not to use during the tour, such as a missed meal, sightseeing stop or hotel night.

If we cancel

If we cancel a confirmed tour for a reason within our control, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to alternative dates at no extra charge. Where a tour cannot run because of weather, a government restriction, a strike or another event outside our control, we will refund whatever we can recover from hotels and transport partners, and will always show you the breakdown.

Refund timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 10 working days to the account the payment came from. Your bank may take a few days more to credit it.
