These terms apply when you book any tour, vehicle or related service with Shiv Shankar Holidays. Please read them before confirming a booking — paying a deposit means you accept them on behalf of everyone travelling on your booking.
Making a booking
A booking is confirmed only once we have received your advance payment and sent you a written confirmation by email or WhatsApp. Verbal quotes and held dates are not a confirmation.
- Please check that names match the photo ID you will carry, especially for hotel check-in.
- Quoted prices are for the dates, hotel category and vehicle stated on your confirmation.
- Prices may change if your dates, group size or hotel category change after confirmation.
Payment
- An advance of 25–50% is payable to confirm the booking, depending on the season and hotel policy.
- The balance is due before the tour begins unless your confirmation states otherwise.
- Peak-season and festival bookings may require full payment in advance.
What the price includes
Your confirmation lists the inclusions and exclusions for your specific tour. As a general rule, quoted prices exclude airfare, personal expenses, tips, camera fees, VIP darshan or aarti tickets, and anything not written in the inclusions.
Your responsibilities
- Carry valid photo ID for every traveller, and a passport or voter ID for Nepal travel.
- Be ready at the agreed pickup time; the itinerary is planned around darshan and traffic windows.
- Tell us in advance about medical conditions, mobility needs or dietary requirements.
- Respect temple dress codes and local customs at every site on the itinerary.
Changes we may have to make
Temple timings, aarti schedules, VIP darshan availability and road conditions are outside our control. Where a site is closed or a route is blocked, we will rearrange the day to keep as much of the itinerary as possible. We will always tell you before making a change that affects your plans.
Liability
We plan and coordinate your journey and select our hotel and transport partners with care. We are not liable for loss, delay or injury caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, landslides, strikes, government restrictions, or crowd conditions at religious sites. We recommend travel insurance for every traveller.
Talk to us first
If something is not right during your trip, contact your coordinator immediately so we can fix it while you are still travelling. Concerns raised after the tour are much harder to resolve.
